VE-RAS is an oncological test used to determine, with the highest degree of confidence, whether a patient with colorectal cancer can be treated with anti-EGFR antibodies or should be treated with traditional therapies.

The VE-RAS test looks for mutations in the KRAS and NRAS genes, approximately 40% of colon cancer patients have mutations in the KRAS gene and 5% in the NRAS gene.
